In recent years, network neuroscience has emerged as a powerful new approach to address systems level questions related to brain functions, neurodegenerative diseases and novel therapies. Using ideas from network science, neurobiology and control engineering, we present recent work and challenges in modeling whole-brain dynamics, simulating disease networks and discuss emerging approaches for intervention.
